Beyond nursing school, Kim attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina Charlotte in Clinical/Community Psychology. She obtained a master's degree in Conflict Management from Lipscomb University, certificates from Pepperdine University and Harvard Law School, and trained in Transformative Mediation at Hofstra University, Healthcare Mediation at the University of South Florida, and Restorative Practices at the International Institute of Restorative Practices.


Kim is passionate about helping others resolve conflicts productively using mediation, facilitation, and collaborative problem-solving. She is the author of "How to Live Forever: A Guide to Writing the Final Chapter of Your Life Story" and creator of the Best Conflict Conversation Cards (Workplace Edition), practical tools for navigating difficult discussions. She speaks and trains on conflict management, dispute resolution, and transforming challenging conversations. Kimberly Best, RN, MA, is a Missouri and Tennessee Court-Listed Civil and Family Mediator, a FINRA Arbitrator, and founder of Best Conflict Solutions, LLC. Kim's practice includes Adult Family Mediation, Organizational and Healthcare Conflict Management, Conflict Coaching and Consulting. She is Past President of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators, past Membership Officer of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution, and a volunteer Senior Mediator with the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, Dispute Resolution Program and Community/Police Unification Program. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Lipscomb University's Institute for Conflict Management.
